
Crews are hunting for a dump truck driver who went missing on Tuesday night. It happened in Vicksburg, Mississippi around 5:15 p.m. in the 200 block of Warrenton Road.
Michael Collins was backing up a dump truck when it fell down a slope and plummeted into the Mississippi River. According to WJTV, it was submerged with the driver trapped inside.
Professional divers located the sunken truck, but the driver was not inside the cab and was nowhere to be found.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Department are conducting around the clock search and rescues.
Patrol boats with sonar features have been scanning the water for any signs of the missing driver. The search has continued to river banks and nearby debris.
Crews are on the lookout for any signs of his escape from the sinking truck.
Michael Collins is 22 years old, and an employee of Riverside Construction Company.
As the hunt for Michael continues, the incident remains under investigation.
