A crash between a pickup truck and a double-tanker semi truck closed off a stretch of eastbound Interstate 90 in Washington state, this afternoon.

The incident occurred near mile marker 34 in North Bend.

Troopers say the pickup lost control while trying to pass the rig and crashed into the cab of the semi. The impact sent both of them into a ditch on the side of the interstate.

Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported.

The cleanup process is taking longer than expected because the tanker is leaking approximately one gallon of fuel per minute. WSDOT says the highway won’t reopen until 7 p.m., at the earliest.
