In a recent survey taken by Overdive, 54% of Owner Operators said that they expect to see a better year in 2014, compared to last year.
Only 13% of those who responded are forecasting a worse year.
The leading cause for this optimism was the year end increase in the spot freight market. According to loadboard Internet Truckstop, 2013 ended with Per-mile spot market rates surging to record highs.
