The owner of a trucking company in Houston, Texas, was found dead by an employee on Monday morning.
It happened at a truck yard on the 7300 block of Texarkana Street in East Houston. According to reports, Wilmer Erazo, owner of Flatway Transportation, was killed while inspecting one of his trucks early Monday morning. An employee who was asleep at the lot said he heard a gunshot and saw two people fleeing the scene shortly before 3:30 a.m.
Houston Police don’t believe it was a robbery attempt, but rather an argument turned fatal.
Erazo’s girlfriend, Angelica Garcia, works as a dispatcher at the company and said that Erazo loved the trucking industry. “He said ‘If I die, I want to die doing what I love,'” she told reporters. “He would (do) anything and everything for anybody. He (didn’t) have to know you, all he needs to know (is what your need) and he’s right there.”
Workers created a memorial on the lot, next to the truck where he was killed.
