A semi truck was stolen from a Jacksonville, Florida business last week, and its owner has taken to social media to make a plea — and a cash offer — for its return.

The truck, a red 2005 Peterbilt owned by Miranda Contracting, disappeared from a lot on W. Beaver Street on Monday April 10th.

Miranda’s Owner, Joshua Garrison, says it’s the only truck owned by the family business and had several stops on the schedule that day. Unable to make the deliveries themselves, they were forced to contract the work to other trucking companies.

Garrison originally offered a $3,000 reward for its return, but recently doubled it to $6,000.

“It’s got to be a professional. Someone that’s a mechanic.” Garrison said.

The lock to the gate protecting the truck was cut, the trailer disconnected and the truck hotwired, he explained.

“It makes us irate that someone would roll up and steal something we worked so hard to purchase.”

The truck has the words ‘Miranda Contracting’ as well as ‘US DOT 1464355’ written on it’s side. Garrison says he’s offering the reward “no questions asked.”

“Sell them out and get your green-cash,” he added.
