
A tractor trailer and Amtrak train were involved in a collision in Aurora, Oregon on Monday morning.
It happened just before 7:30 a.m. at Ehlen Road Northeast and 1st street, 25 miles south of Portland.
According to reports, the truck was stuck in heavy traffic, causing its trailer to remain on the railroad tracks as the train approached. The train, which was carrying 43 passengers, was traveling at approximately 35 miles-per-hour when the collision occurred.
The truck was hauling 65,000 pounds of paper, which spilled onto the roadway after the collision.
Several passengers on the train uploaded photos of the incident on Facebook.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reported that there were no injuries.

The road is expected to be closed until the evening due to roadway damage.
