A trailer disconnected from a truck in Ector County, Texas, and hung over an overpass on Interstate 20 on Thursday.
According to CBS7.com:
DPS Sgt. Oscar Villareal confirms a hydraulic malfunction of the trucks bed is to blame. Villareal said the Midland driver’s load started to rise on its own before disconnecting from the truck and flying off the side of the overpass, damaging it.
It happened at the overpass at I-20 and FM 1053. Sgt. Villareal said the driver will not be cited.
The overpass was damaged as a result. TXDOT is currently pursuing an insurance claim against the driver’s company.
