A new comedy show focusing on the trucker life is currently in development.

Eric Stonestreet, an actor on the hit show Modern Family, made plans with his friend and writer of the Bernie Mac Show, Jerry Collins, to produce a TV series taking place in a Kansas truck stop. The show will be called “Big Stop” and will be a multi-camera comedy focusing on modern events through the perspective of a truck stop and all the colorful people who visit it.

Stonestreet and Collins got the idea when Collins was visiting Stonestreet in his native home of Kansas to experience a traditional Kansas 4th of July. The two began discussing ideas for a new series and wanted something like a workplace comedy with an organic feel.

No release date has been announced for the project, as it is still in the early stages of development.
