According to WKRN, the unoccupied semi was parked on top on a steep hill when its brakes went out, causing the rig to roll down a grassy hill. After 200 yards, the truck broke loose from it’s trailer and continued on for another 200 yards before crashing into the house.

The owner of the home, Carol Abernathy, was not home at the time of the crash.

“To come home and see this… I’m devastated. The vehicle slammed into our home, and our living room, it’s parked inside,” she told reporters.

The home was deemed unlivable.

Abernathy has set up a GoFundMe account in order to help her get back on her feet, however there have not been any donations as of Saturday evening.
