Investigators are working to determine exactly what happened that led a Mustang to become lodged underneath a big rig.

The incident occurred around 6 a.m. on Highway 36 between CR 200 E and CR 300 E in Danville, Indiana.

According to Danville Metropolitan Police Department, the incident was caused by a “scary train of events.”

A scary train of events lead to minor injuries after a vehicle was lodged under a semi between CR 200 E and CR 300 E on US HWY 36 around 6:00 this morning. US 36 was temporarily closed, but has since been reopened. Danville officers are investigating the cause of the crash. One subject was transported by Danville medics to Hendricks Regional Health for treatment. Stay safe out there.

The collision shut down the road for a significant amount of time.

One person from the car was taken to Hendricks Regional Health for treatment of minor injuries. The truck driver was not reported to be injured.

The highway has since reopened. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
