On Monday morning, a multi-vehicle crash blocked traffic in Pennsylvania near Philadelphia on I-76.

A semi truck and at least 7 other vehicles were involved.

Police were called to the scene of the crash along the highway in Lower Merion, in the area of Mill Creek Road, between the exits for Gladwyne and Conshohoken.

According to NBC 10, the multi-vehicle crash which involved a pickup truck that flipped on its side, blocked all of the westbound lanes of I-76 and one eastbound lane.

Crews worked to upright the flipped pickup.

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene of the accident. Officials reported multiple injuries.

I-76 westbound is currently closed as of 11:30 a.m.

Officials are investigating the exact cause of the accident.
