Four people were hospitalized in Salt Lake City, Utah, after a mother of three ran a red light and crashed head-on into a semi truck.
According to Fox-12 in Utah, the semi truck was making a left turn on Redwood Road and South Temple around 9 p.m. on Sunday evening, when the car ran the light and struck the semi head-on.
The driver of the car, as well as her three children, were taken to local hospitals. The children, ages 1, 3, and 8, were not wearing seat belts.
“They all sustained injuries, nothing life threatening at this point.” said Lt. Martin Kaufmann of the Salt Lake City Police Department. “Unfortunately, none of the children were restrained in seat belts,” he added.
The driver of the semi truck was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.
