A section of Interstate 94 was closed on Tuesday afternoon after a truck was impaled by metal beams. It happened on the eastbound lanes of I-94 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, near Jackson Road.
According to MLIVE.com, “The beams broke free and some went through the cab and front windshield.”
Amazingly, the driver walked away uninjured. Local police said the beams “just missed” the driver as they crashed through the truck’s cab.
The accident shut down both eastbound lanes of Interstate 94.
Facebook user Jon Pietrangelo captured the following footage of the mangled truck, which was viewed more than 2 million times in less than 24 hours.
The scene has been cleared and the highway reopened. An investigation is underway by the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office to determine how the accident happened.
