Police are looking for a man who robbed a truck driver at gunpoint in California on Tuesday night.

According to ABC-30, the truck driver was sleeping in his rig, which was parked on Shaw Avenue and Marty Avenue in Northern Fresno. A masked man opened the truck’s door around midnight and flashed a knife and a gun and demanded money.

The suspect then punched the truck driver several times and ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash and a GPS unit.

Lt. David ramos of the Fresno Police Department commented on the incident, “You know like in all these robberies, especially with someone with a firearm and a knife. The victim was very fortunate in this case that he didn’t sustain any further injuries — being shot or stabbed — that he was just shaken up… fortunately that’s it.”

According to police reports, the suspect was wearing a black hoodie and a mask. The driver’s identity has not been released.
