The man who impersonated a police officer and robbed a truck driver in a Texas truck stop has finally been caught.
The same man was believed to have committed similar robberies in other states along the Interstate 30 corridor. Multiple truck drivers claim the man approached them and demanded to search their trucks as part of a drug investigation.
According to TXKtoday.com, in addition to stealing drivers’ wallets and valuables during illegal vehicle searches, Williams also attempted to get victims to pay him money for bogus fines.
On September 3rd, police finally put a stop to his crime spree and arrested 46-year-old James Charles Williams Jr. of Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was arrested in Texarkana, Arkansas after police departments in several counties worked together to identify him and ultimately take him down.
