A man drove a stolen beer truck into a department store in Stockholm, Sweden, killing four people and injuring 15 others on Friday afternoon.
The incident, which was labeled as a terrorist attack by officials, happened around 2:30 p.m., during one of the cities busiest shopping seasons.
The truck belongs to Swedish brewery Spendrups, who told authorities that it was stolen by a masked man after the truck driver completed a delivery. The attacker then drove 1500 feet through the crowded streets before finally crashing into the store, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Police arrested one suspect around 8:00 p.m. The suspect was injured and reportedly confessed to hijacking the truck and crashing it into the crowded shopping area.
It’s the third time in less than a year that a stolen truck was used in a fatal terrorist attack in Europe.
