A worker at a tanker cleaning and service company was found dead inside a tanker on Tuesday.
According to police reports, the man collapsed while cleaning out a tanker at KAW Services located in Pleasant Valley, Missouri. The man, who was in his 40s, was found unresponsive and rushed to a nearby hospital. He was pronounced dead after arriving at the hospital.
Coworkers say he was a “veteran” in the industry, and worked at the company for many years.
OSHA arrived at the business a few hours later and started an investigation. They will be checking if the tank’s atmosphere was tested correctly, among other things.
Foul play is not suspected.
