A man from Ocala, Florida, was arrested for shooting at a truck driver after getting stuck behind his rig.

The shooting occurred on Tuesday morning, around 7 a.m., on the Florida Turnpike.

According to Ocala.com, 52-year-old Charles Anthony Dunn was traveling with his wife when he got stuck behind two tractor trailers. When the truck on the right lane slowed down to allow the truck on the left to pass him, Dunn became furious and fired one shot from a Ruger 9mm at the truck on the right side.

The truck driver was not hit and was able to snap a photo of Dunn’s Toyota Rav-4. Police also gathered photos of Dunn’s vehicle from a nearby toll booth and collected a bullet that was lodged in the tractor trailer as evidence.

On Wednesday, police stopped at Dunn’s residence but nobody was home. Later that day, Dunn contacted police to arrange a meeting.

Dunn told police that the truck on the right “tried to run him off the road” by slowing down. Dunn’s wife told police that her husband was upset, but was not trying to injure the driver.

After interviewing Dunn and his wife, Dunn was arrested and charged with discharging a firearm from a vehicle. He was released on Thursday on a $20,000 bond.
