US-101 and SR-6 in Raymond, Washington, were closed for three and half hours after a 100-foot beam landed on the cab of a truck hauling logs.
The beam was heading for WSDOT project in Grays Harbor County on the trailer of a semi. It turned south down US-101 but could not clear the left turn before the logging truck crashed into it due to low road visibility on the dark, foggy, road..
The log truck ended up smashing into it, with the beam ending up right in the lap of the driver. The beam had to be removed before the rescue team could free the driver.
Luck was watching over the driver as he came out of the wreck nearly unharmed. He was taken to a nearby hospitals with only minor injuries.
