Hoover says that the page gives drivers an opportunity to ask an officer questions that they might not want to ask in person. “If they do have a question or something they can’t pull into a scale house comfortably and ask, say about a bad tire, because they’re worried about getting ticketed or placed out of service.” he said.

Hoover has seen an outpouring of support from truck drivers around the country. The Facebook page has nearly 3,000 likes and is growing rapidly.
