Knight Transportation has announced that they have acquired Bar-Nunn Transport. The new acquisition will not impose any new changes on the 500 truck-van carrier located just outside of Des Moines, Iowa.
Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Jim Updike, for Knight Transportation states, “Barr-Nunn will continue to operate as a separate company under its existing operating authority with its customer contracts and agreements remaining in effect.”
Barr-Nunn personnel, policies, and culture are to remain the same and their customers should notice no difference after the transaction is complete.
Jane Sturgeon, Bar-Nunn CEO explains that Knight Transportation was their #1 choice for a buyer. According to Sturgeon, Knight’s “pursuit of excellence and commitment to a career path for employees” was a perfect match for the new generation of owners for Bar-Nunn.
