A semi truck overturned, spilling 40,000 pounds of frozen chicken, after it was struck head-on by a pickup truck that drifted into the wrong lane.
The incident occurred in Somerville, Alabama, on Saturday afternoon.
According to AL.com, 31-year-old Clay Thomas Dunlap was traveling on the southbound lanes of Alabama 67 when he crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed into a semi truck head-on.
Dunlap was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of illegal drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The semi truck, driven by James Samolis, of Texas, overturned in a field on the side of the road and spilled nearly 40,000 pounds of frozen chicken.
Miraculously, neither driver was seriously injured.
Dunlap is currently being held on $1,600 bond at the Morgan County Jail.
According to police reports, Dunlap was not eligible for bail on Saturday evening because he was still intoxicated when he arrived at the county jail.
