A tractor trailer hauling a load of pig intestines overturned on Tuesday afternoon, closing a section of Interstate 85.
The crash happened on the southbound exit ramp of I-85 towards Belmont-Mount Holly Road in Gaston County, North Carolina, around 3:30 p.m.
The Gaston Gazette said the scene smelled like “pork-scented garbage.”

According to Belmont police, the truck’s load shifted as it was taking the exit ramp. Police believe speed may have been a factor.
Thankfully, no one, including the driver, was injured in the accident.
Backups are expected until approximately 7 p.m.
