Police and clean-up crews work on clearing the scene of a jackknifed and toppled tractor trailer in Flint Township, Michigan.
On Wednesday, April 27, 2016, on I-75/US23 at Miller Road, a jackknifed semi-truck spilled bags of cement all over the expressway, causing this morning’s I-75 closure.
Flint Township Police stated that the truck driver was headed south on the interstate, south of Miller Road, when the semi hit a median, causing it to jackknife.
M Live News reported that the driver survived the crash with only minor injuries, but the roads were shut down for several hours as the truck’s spilled load of bagged cement mix nearly covered the highway.
According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, as of 12:15 p.m., the expressway remains closed, but should reopen within the next few hours.
