Southbound Interstate 65 came to a standstill on Tuesday morning following a pileup involving a Greyhound bus, 2 tractor trailers, and 2 passenger vehicles.

The incident happened around mile marker 71 in Hart County, Kentucky, around 9:40 a.m.

According to Kentucky State Police, several people were injured, however the injuries were non-life threatening. Slippery roads are believed to have been a factor in the crash.

The accident shut down the highway for several hours, stranding drivers on the road.

As of 1:41 p.m., two lanes have been cleared and reopened.
