A fiery multiple-vehicle pileup shut down Interstate 35W in Fort Worth, Texas, on Thursday afternoon.

At least 10 people are reported to have been injured in the crash, which occurred on the southbound lanes of I-35W at Golden Triangle Circle, around 1:40 p.m.

According to NBC-DFW, an 18-wheeler carrying powdered milk, a car, and a pickup truck, were involved in the crash. The impact caused the semi truck to overturn and several vehicles to catch fire.

Ten people were injured in the accident, with one person in critical condition and two others in serious condition.

Interstate 35W has been shut down in both directions. The northbound lanes are expected to reopen shortly, WFAA-TV reports.

The southbound lanes, however, will be closed for an “extended period of time,” according to TxDOT. Once the wreckage is cleared, crews will inspect the bridge for damage.

The cause of the crash is not yet known.
