Jose Luis Martin was leaving a Miami nightclub early Monday morning, and decided to get behind the wheel of his Ferrari while intoxicated. It did not turn out well.
Martin crashed into a semi truck that was making a right turn on Northwest 93rd Avenue and 25th street, completely obliterating his sports car. Although the Ferrari was left looking like heap of scrap metal, Martin was amazingly able to walk away.
Witnesses say Martin appeared to be intoxicated after the crash, but refused to take a breathalyzer test. He was then taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries and arrested on DUI charges after a blood test was taken.
This isn’t the first driving incident on his record however. Martin has an extensive history with traffic violations, with over 30 offenses on his record.
According to reports, the speedometer on his dashboard was stuck at 75 miles-per-hour after the crash, indicating that he may have been traveling roughly 40 miles per hour above the 35 MPH speed limit.
