A Texas man was sentenced to 30 years in prison for forcing his teenage daughter into prostitution at local truck stops.
Prosecutors say 46-year-old Baytown resident Scott Robinson forced his 16-year-old daughter to work as a prostitute after he discovered that she was sexually active. He allegedly told her that “if she was going to act like a prostitute she might as well be one.”
Robinson forced his daughter to work local truck stops, exchanging sex for money. He also advertised her on websites like Backpage.com, using terms like “sexy and sweet,” “super clean” and wants “to party.”
“The man made the girl work the tractor-trailer rigs parked at truck stops, offering sex in exchange for money that he then took from her, prosecutors said. The girl said she had multiple customers a night,” the Houston Chronicle reported.
He was first arrested back in June 2015 after an investigation by the Houston Child Exploitation Task Force.
On March 13th he was sentenced to 30 years in prison for charges of aggravated compelling of prostitution, a first-degree felony. Robinson has an extensive criminal history, including criminal trespassing, auto theft, burglary, and drug possession.
