A pileup involving multiple tractor trailers and passenger vehicles shut down a stretch of Interstate 91 north in Longmeadow, Massachusetts on Saturday morning.

According to Massachusetts State Police, two tractor trailers and four passenger vehicles were involved in total. A spokesperson for the Springfield Fire Department, said that one truck driver was killed in the accident, and three other people suffered minor injuries.

The identities of the drivers have not yet been made public.

Around noon, Mass. State Police tweeted an update stating that all lanes of Interstate 91 are expected to remain closed until Saturday evening. One southbound I-91 lane is also closed, creating traffic backups as well.

Traffic is currently being directed off Interstate 91 north at exit 49. Police are advising drivers to take Route 5 to get around the closure.

The cause of the crash is currently not known and remains under investigation.
