A retired truck driver and military veteran with Alzheimer’s has gone missing from his home in Kingsport, Tennessee, and his family is asking the trucking community for help.
The family of Eugene Marshall believes that he may have regressed back to what he knows best — the trucking industry. They say he may have hitched a ride and are asking truck drivers to keep an eye out for him.
Family friend friend, Jason McLellan, told WCYB reporters:
“He’s obviously familiar with the trucking industry. Although he does have Alzheimer’s, one regresses back and when one regresses back, they usually go back in time from what we understand. So we’re concerned that he might have gone to Mason and Dixon’s terminal, perhaps hitchhiked even which was familiar to people of his age, he’s 80 years old.”
Gene went missing on September 17th. The missing person flier lists him as 5’10”, 135 lbs., with gray hair and glasses.
If you have seen him, or have any information that can help locate him, please call (423) 246-9111.
