A serious accident between a car and a tractor trailer shut down lanes of Interstate 10 in Tonopah, Arizona, on Tuesday evening.

According to Arizona State Troopers, the incident happened just before 5:30 p.m., when the car lost control and swerved into the semi truck’s trailer, getting wedged underneath.

One person in the car was trapped inside and needed to be extricated. Several others were able to escape the car unharmed.

The driver of the truck was not injured in the crash.

As of 6:48 p.m. local time, all eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 were shut down around exit 94 as a result of the accident. No estimated time of reopening has been released.
