A truck driver, accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, drove off after refueling at a Pride station in Chicopee, Massachusetts, without paying the $195.33 fuel bill. But that was only the beginning of his wild evening.

According to Mass Live, 63-year-old truck driver Edward Lynch, of Alexandria, Virginia, hit a parked truck when he drove after he was confronted by truck stop staff. He then drove to a Motel 6 across the street, where he hit yet another parked vehicle.

When he noticed a crowd from the truck stop chasing after him, he continued on and drove past a McDonald’s, where he drove over a 2,000 pound boulder, trapping it under his trailer.

Slowed by the boulder he was dragging, he was eventually caught by police as he tried to enter the westbound Interstate 291 entrance. The boulder and collisions left his vehicle a wreck.

Officers asked him to recite the alphabet as part of a sobriety test, to which he replied: “ABCDEFYNCHIGHFLMNOTXYNG.” He refused a breathalyzer test, which is cause for the automatic revocation of a commercial drivers license.

Lynch told officers he was homeless and lived in his truck.

He was arrested and charged with drunken driving, leaving the scene of an accident, larceny under $250, and having an open container of alcohol. He pleaded ‘not guilty’ to all charges. His bail was set at $2,500.
