
A 19-year-old woman took police on a high speed chase in a stolen beer truck, before crashing into a barn in York County, Maine on Tuesday.
Local authorities were contacted after witnesses noticed a beer delivery truck driving erratically near an elementary school on Route 5.
After locating the truck, the driver refused to stop. Officers then pursued the suspect on a 13-mile high speed chase through York County.
The suspect, 19-year-old Nicole Dyment, was finally detained after losing control of the vehicle and crashing into a barn in Limerick, Maine.
According to The Portland Press Herald, Dyment admitted to stealing the truck from a 7-Eleven convenience store while drunk and high on heroin.
She was taken to a hospital for minor injuries before being arrested on charges of drunk driving, driving to endanger, failure to stop for police, and driving without a license, and is currently being held on $50,000 bail.
