Numerous accidents, involving dozens of vehicles, shut down a stretch of westbound Interstate 94 in Van Buren County, Michigan, on New Year’s Eve.
Aerial drone footage of one of the pileups was captured on Sunday afternoon on December 31st, showing what it looked like at the scene.
Initial estimates indicated that 30 vehicles were involved in between the multiple pileups, however the number was later revised to approximately 50.
According to the Van Buren Sheriff’s office, the pileups occurred at exit 66, 60 and 56.
There were some minor injuries in the wrecks, however no fatalities have been reported. Slick roads were blamed as the primary factor for the crashes.
