A truck driver was able to climb out of a devastating wreck in Arizona, after his rig left the road and toppled over while negotiation a curve in the road.
The accident happened early Monday morning on eastbound SR 260, near Kohl’s Ranch, 20 miles east of Payson, Arizona.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the truck lost control while negotiating a curve near milepost 269 and broke through a highway guardrail. The truck overturned after making a steep drop off the road, severely damaging the trailer and cab.
Miraculously, the truck driver was able to climb out of the mangled truck on his own until help arrived.
The right lane was closed for several hours, but has since reopened. The driver’s identity, and current condition, has not been released.
