On Monday afternoon in Terre Haute, Indiana, a semi-truck driver survived a close call when his truck toppled off I-70 and landed on State Road 46 below.
According to police, the truck driver was headed eastbound on I-70. But as the truck approached an upcoming bridge, it began to lean towards the right side of the road.
My Wabash Valley reported that the driver attempted to correct his vehicle, but then the trailer drifted to the right and hit a guardrail, causing the truck to propel over the edge and onto State Road 46 underneath.
The truck’s load was spilled across the roadway. The driver escaped serious injury and was treated for pain at the hospital.
