Truck driver Kevin Iniesta Chavez parked his semi truck near a buddy’s house in Mira Loma, California, and then noticed it being driven away right in front of him.

Chavez and his friends decided to pursue his stolen rig through the streets of Mira Loma into Fontana, California. When officers joined in and tried to stop the stolen truck, the thief refused to back down.

A high speed police chase ensued, with the truck thief leading officers through city streets at speeds up to 60 miles per hour, at one point the truck even led officers down the wrong way on a one way street.

After realizing that he’d never outrun the cops, the suspect got out the vehicle and attempted to lose them on foot but was caught and arrested near the 10 Freeway.

The owner of the truck says he was shocked to see his rig driving away in front of him, especially considering that he locked it and had the keys with him after he parked it. Fontana police are currently investigating.
