The driver of a car was cited after colliding with a semi truck on Saturday.

The incident occurred on the northbound Interstate 5 near Woodburn, Oregon.

According to KGW.com, the car driver was traveling on the southbound lanes and and veered into the highway median, breaking the cable barrier and crossing into the oncoming traffic. The car struck a Swift Transportation semi truck, which ended up in the bushes off the side of the road.

The car driver was airlifted to Salem Hospital.

The truck driver was not injured.

The crash closed the northbound lanes for much of the day on Saturday, but it has since reopened.

Oregon State Police ticketed the car driver for careless driving and driving without a license.
