Remember the guy who held 37,000 pounds of frozen chicken for ransom?
The man was 42-year-old Christopher Hall who was found in Meridian, Idaho, on Friday Sept 26. He was suppose to deliver the load from Arkansas to Kent, Wash. when he picked it up on Aug 20. Instead, he contacted Dixie River Freight in Nampa, Idaho, and demanded money in return for the truck and chickens. When they refused his demands he abandoned the truck.
The case was looked at as a bio-hazard, thus, the truck was towed to a landfill where the chickens were dumped in a fresh pit. The pit was then covered by a bulldozer.
The driver was arrested on parole violation and now faces possible charges for theft in relation to the abandoned load of chickens.
