Two people were injured when a crane crashed down on the Tappan Zee bridge outside New York City on Tuesday morning.
According to Fox News, the crane was being used for construction on the new Tappan Zee bridge, which is to be completed in 2018, when it came crashing down.
Traffic is currently at a stand still in both direction.
The NYS Thruway Twitter page posted the following update.
LOWER HUDSON VALLEY: Accident: in both directions on I-87 on TAPPAN ZEE BRIDGE: All lanes blocked: NB must exit at 8 SB must exit at exit 15
