Portions of a Kansas highway was closed on Friday, after a truck hauling cattle overturned. It took crews several hours to round up enough cows to reopen the highway.
The crash happened in Lenexa on westbound I-435 around 12:30 p.m. The highway was closed at the westbound I-435/K-10 ramp while law enforcement officers herded the cattle on the roadway. They were able to capture 35 out of 60 cows and reopened the highway three hours later.

On Saturday, March 4th, Kansas police reported that at least 25 cows were still free in nearby fields, but ended their search because the highway was clear. No injuries were reported in the incident.
