A truck driver was robbed at gunpoint on Monday afternoon as he was unloading outside a Honda dealership in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The driver, who did not want his identity revealed, says that two men in a white Kia Optima pulled up to him as he was unloading cars off his trailer.  One man got out of the Kia and held a gun to the driver before stealing and driving off with a 2012 Honda Civic that was part of the load he was hauling.

“The car pulled up alongside me, sandwiched me in between both cars, and stuck a gun basically in my face. Passenger guy got out and they took the car,” he told WESH-2.

The truck driver said he did not get a good look at the robbers.

“All I know is I put my hands up just took two steps back. As I’ve always said, I’m not going to lose my life over a car.” he added.

Daytona Beach police have not released an update on the case, and there is no word if any arrests have been made.
