One person was injured after a car rear-ended a log truck in Anderson County, South Carolina on Tuesday.
According to police reports, the driver of a 2007 Kia Spectra failed to slow down as he approached a log truck that was stopped at a traffic light on SC-28, around 8:30 a.m. The car drove into the back of the truck, causing a log to penetrate its windshield.
The driver of the car was identified as 22-year-old Justin Earl Douglas. He temporarily lost conciousness after the log struck the side of his face, but was awake and talking after being transported to AnMed Health Medical Center.
Douglas was cited for driving too fast for conditions, according to troopers.
