A car crashed into a semi truck on Thursday night, spilling 100 gallons of fuel onto a Michigan roadway.

It happened around 8:45 p.m. in Lamotte Township at the intersection of M-46 and M-53. Deputies reported that a sedan traveling westbound on M-46 failed to stop at a red light on M-53. That’s when the car collided with a semi truck that was stopped at the traffic light. The collision caused a puncture in the semi’s fuel tank.

The damage was extensive.
