According to the Montreal Gazette, the bridge was closed for 4 hours in order for authorities to examine the integrity of the bridge after the collision. It has since reopened.
The 70-year-old driver told authorities he was not aware that the dump trailer was raised. He was not injured.
It’s unclear if the driver will face charges.
