Border patrol agents discovered 14 illegal immigrants, hidden in a truckload of onions, at a checkpoint in Falfurrias, Texas, this week.
The truck was selected for a secondary inspection on Tuesday, after K-9’s alerted officers of suspicious cargo. That’s when officers discovered the undocumented immigrants hidden inside the trailer.
Agents helped the men, who were trapped between bags of onions, out the trailer.
One person reportedly required medical treatment.
The driver and passenger of the truck, both resident-aliens from El Salvador, were arrested.
