Three people were killed in a catastrophic crash on the 5 Freeway in Commerce, California, early Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles were racing on the southbound lanes, when one vehicle lost control and struck a UPS semi truck. The semi truck then lost control, broke through the highway barrier, and crashed into several oncoming vehicles before bursting into flames.
In total, three people were killed and four people were injured.
A motorist took the following video of the aftermath.
35-year-old Dealio Lockart, a resident of Whittier, California, admitted that he was racing and was arrested at the scene. He is expected to be charged with vehicular manslaughter.
The driver of the UPS semi truck died in the crash. Two women who were inside a Nissan on the northbound lanes were also killed.

The truck driver’s identity has not been revealed, except that he was a white male in his 50s.
The second street racer fled the scene and has not been identified. A police investigation is currently underway to locate the driver, however CHP has received very few leads.
The crash caused significant damage to the 5 Freeway between Washington Boulevard and the 710 Freeway, and it’s expected to remain closed until Sunday.
