The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s annual inspection spree will take place from September 6th to the 12th.
During the week, commercial vehicles will be targeted roadside inspections, with a extra emphasis placed on brakes.
The CVSA says they’ll look for “brake-system components to identify loose or missing parts, air or hydraulic fluid leaks, worn linings, pads, drums or rotors, and other faulty brake-system components.”
During last years inspection blitz, “brake-related violations comprised the largest percentage (representing 46.2 percent) of all out-of-service violations,” according to the CVSA.
