A driver’s life was saved after a passing vehicle called his attention to a fire that had ignited on his truck.
It happened on Sunday evening in the southbound lanes of State Route 87 in Phoenix, Arizona.
A family with eight children were traveling home after a day of sight-seeing when they spotted smoke coming off a tractor trailer’s tires.
Soon after, flames erupted—and the driver was still unaware.
That’s when the family pulled up to the moving truck and got the driver’s attention. The driver immediately pulled over while the family called 911.
KPHO/KTVK reported that the family stayed with the truck driver for an hour and a half until help arrived, and helped to alert passing drivers as they approached the fire.
The truck driver was grateful to the family who prevented a tragic situation.
Thankfully, no one was injured in the fire.
