The Texas Department of Public Safety has closed a stretch of U.S. Highway 67 after a metal bridge was struck by a truck on Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened on the westbound lanes of Highway 67, 4 miles east of Glen Rose.

According to the Texas DPS, the rock hauler attempted to cross the bridge, heading west over the Brazos River, and hit the structure with its inadvertently raised dump trailer.

No one was injured in the accident, however the westbound lanes have been completely shut down.

According to TxDOT, the eastbound bridge will be used for two-way traffic, with one lane of traffic in each direction, until repairs are completed.

A report on the extent of the damage has not yet been released, but TxDOT’s DriveTexas.org website lists the estimated reopening time as June 12, 2017 — which would make it a one-month closure.
